Lynda's Corner:
While studying and thinking about missionaries who give out bibles or maybe condensed versions of Bible stories, even in the form of a story book ,characters throughout it representing the Bible, I’m reminded what a great man of God once said. Rev. Billy Graham, when asked what is the best translation of the bible, his answer,” The one that you will read”.
Great answer.
I’m a “King James” reader, but, as I’m studying and read how missionaries hand out versions that are in comic book type form, in other countries, the story of Jesus Christ and His salvation, I’m convinced that the main purpose is Reaching those for Christ and if This is how we get them to read and learn about Christ, praise be to God for the talent he gives those who print the Truth that the lost may find Christ.
Praising God this morning for my opportunity(76) to continue serving Him in VBS. ????????
Lynda’s corner:
It’s been a while but God has stirred my heart this morning as I read in Jeremiah, and not only Jeremiah ,but throughout Gods word, how when God came Down hard( even death)on people who went against His commandments, Do WE, today, even Think about God striking us down for our sin? Yes, as Christians, we have Jesus Christ.
I think we take advantage of Jesus. His goodness, his mercy, his love, his grace. “O, I’ll pray and ask forgiveness “, and just continue doing what we know is against everything that we’ve accepted as truth when we became a child of His. A Christian. My heart is so burdened by what I hear,by what I see. Yes. As Christians we have Jesus to plead our cause, but even He knows the heart, as does God the Father. But. JESUS CHRIST IS our only hope.
He IS SALVATION .
“Create in me a clean heart O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from Thy presence ;and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of THY salvation;and uphold me with THY free spirit.”
God bless all who read this, for it is truly from my heart, and from God.
“ And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.”
He healed the leper. The leper called out for mercy. Our merciful God answered.
The leper worshipped and called out, not with a demand, but a request, and with faith believing.
IMMEDIATELY he was healed.
Now. Not all requests are answered Immediately.
I watched my dear brother in a comatose state for three months and then he open his eyes. God healed him.
But. during those 3 months, God was at work on drawing our family closer. Jesus doesn’t reject the call of mercy.
Keep praying.
Today, as I am so burdened for America, and the world. I will continue calling out to God for his mercy.
Even though he heard my very first call for mercy, and needs No reminder, I continue praying this prayer until he answers. And he will. In his own time, and way.
Whether the answer is immediately or, three months, PRAY, and, trust His answer.
God bless all who read this.
